Lebak (Lebako) estas regentejo en la provinco Banteno sur la insulo Javo.
En 1856 Eduard Douwes Dekker (Multatuli) estis nomumita kiel asistant-rezidento. Douwes Dekker konstatis ke la indiĝena regento senkompate ekspluatis la lokan popolon. Li ankaŭ supozis ke tiu viro venenigis sian antaŭulon. Plendoj de Douwes Dekker ĉe lia superulo ne estis serioze traktataj, pro kio Douwes Dekker perdis la iluzion ke la kolonia reĝimo alcelas la bonfarton de la indiĝenoj. Li eksiĝis kaj pliposte verkis sian faman libron Max Havelaar.
