Kuhmo estas urbo kaj komunumo en la provinco Kainuu en la norda parto de Finnlando. Laŭ la stato de 2023 en la komunumo vivis 7 582 loĝantoj sur areo de 4 807 kvadrataj kilometroj, kio rezultigas loĝdenson de 2 loĝantoj/km². La teritorio havas komunan limon kun Hyrynsalmi, Lieksa, Nurmes, Ristijärvi, Sotkamo kaj Suomussalmi. Ĝis la jaro 2009 ĝi estis parto de la gubernio Oulu. En Kuhmo ĉiujare okazas festivalo pri ĉambra muziko.
