La kalopieduloj estas remaĉantaj bestoj, kiujn oni ne ordigas al la subordo de Remaĉuloj , ĉar ili havas tiujn karakterizojn, pro kiuj oni starigis novan subordon por tiuj. Ilia stomako estas triparta dum la vera remaĉula stomako havas 4 partojn.
