Juneteenth
Juneteenth (kunmetaĵo de la anglaj vortoj June, Junio kaj nineteenth, deknaŭa) estas ĉiujara festotago en Usono je la 19-a de junio. En tiu tago de la jaro 1865, la novaĵo pri emancipado de la sklavoj atingis la sklavojn en la urbo Galveston de Teksaso – du jarojn post kiam tiu decido fakte proklamiĝis. Juneteenth estas, laŭscie, la plej frua festo pri la fino de usona sklaveco.
Juneteenth fariĝis tutnacia feritago de Usono ekde 2021.
Juneteenth ankaŭ estas la titolo de la plej lasta romano (1999) de Ralph Ellison.
