Jessy LaPointe [ĝesi lapojnt] naskiĝis en 1977 en Mirabel, proks. 35 km norde de Montrealo, Kebekio.
Li esperantiĝis en 1996 kaj fariĝis sekretario de la estraro de la Esperanto-societo kebekia de 1997 ĝis 2004.
Li kreis la Interretan Esperanto-Kurson de la Esperanto-societo kebekia en 1999 kaj daŭre agas kiel instruanto.
Li estis ĵurnalisto de 1997 ĝis 2005 kaj nun estas memstara tradukisto de la angla al la franca.
Li estas aktivulo por Esperanto (Esperanto-societo kebekia, Pasporta Servo), laikismo (Mouvement laïc québécois) kaj gejaj rajtoj (Groupe de recherche et d'intervention sociale - GRIS-Montréal).
