Jarmo estas finna kaj estona vira nomo. La nomon kreis finna pastro E. Kaila-Johansson. Li formis ĝin el la nomo Jorma kaj taksis Jarmon malpli akrasona al Jorma kaj donis ĝis al sia filo en 1899. Jarmo estis en Finnlando populara nomo speciale en la 1950-aj kaj la 1960-aj jaroj. Krome Jarmo estis pruntita el la nomaro de la finnoj al la nomaro de la estonoj.
