Ynys Enlli

La Insulo Enlli (en kimra Ynys Enlli, en la Angla Bardsey Island), la legenda "Insulo de 20,000 sanktuloj", kuŝas je 3.1 km el Duoninsulo Llŷn en la kimra kantono de Gwynedd.[1] La kimra nomo signifas "La Insulo en la Marfluoj", kvankam ties anglalingva nomo aludas al "Insulo de Bardoj",[2] aŭ eble al la insulo de la vikinga ĉefestro, "Barda". Ĝi estas 1.0 km larĝas kaj 1.6 km longa. La nordoriento staras deklive el la maro al alto de 167 m en Mynydd Enlli,[3] dum la okcidenta ebenaĵo estas malalta kaj relative ebena kaj kultivata farmotero; sude la insulo mallarĝiĝas al istmo, konektante al duoninsulo.[4] Ekde 1974 ĝi estis inkludita en la komunumo Aberdaron.[5] Ĝi havas ĉirkaŭ 180 ha de etendon. Ĝi estas la kvara plej granda ĉeborda insulo en Kimrio.
