Ignaz Wechselmann[1] naskiĝis en 1828 en Nicolaj (Silezio, Prusio, nuntempa Mikołów en Pollando), li mortis la 17-an de februaro 1903 en Budapeŝto.

Biografio

Ignaz Wechselmann studis en Teknologia Universitato Berlino, poste li estis asistanto en TU Wien ĉe en:Ludwig Förster. En 1856 li transloĝiĝis al Budapeŝto, kie li estis reprezentanto de Förster. Li ofte superrigardis projektojn de Miklós Ybl (ekzemple Granda Sinagogo de Budapeŝto). Inter 1870-1890 li projektis multajn palacojn, muelejojn, fabrikojn en Budapeŝto. Li ricevis reĝan premion en 1886, baldaŭ li estis levita al la hungara nobelaro. En 1890 li retiriĝis kaj li testamentis grandajn sumojn al speciala lernejo de blinduloj, pedagogoj kaj lernantoj.
