Discovery Channel estas dismonde spektebla kabla televido, kiu okupiĝas preskaŭ senescepte pri dokumentadoj.
Historio
Discovery Channel estis fondita la 17-an de junio en 1985 fare de John Hendricks. La kanalo havis jam tri jarojn poste ĉirkaŭ 32,1 milionojn da abonantoj. En la sekvaj jaroj, la televido pli kaj pli fortiĝis, disvastiĝis kaj aperis en multaj landoj. Komence la kanalo sendis programojn nur tag-parte, sed hodiaŭ ĝi donas 24-horan servon kaj estas kaptebla tra satelito aŭ tra la moderna kabla televido.
La televido en 1999 aperis en Germanio kun cifereca aranĝo "Premiere" kaj nun havas tie pli ol 2 milionojn da abonantoj.
