David Baulcombe estas brita biologo kaj botanikisto. Li naskiĝis la 4-an de julio 1952 en Solihull en la angla regiono Okcidentaj Mezlandoj (angle West Midlands), do nun estas 73-jaraĝa. Sian akademian edukon li akiris en la universitato de Leeds kaj la universitato de Edinburgo. En 2010 li honoriĝis per la Wolf-Premio pri Agrikulturo.
