Chéran (prononcu [ŝerã]) estas rivero fluanta en la francaj departementoj Savoie kaj Haute-Savoie. Ĝi estas maldekstra alfluanto de rivero Fier, do subalfluanto de Rodano.
La pli granda parto de ĝia akvokolekta areo situas en la Regiona Naturrezervejo de la Montmasivo Bauges.
Ĝi fontas en franca departemento de Savoie, en montmasivo Bauges; ĝi estas unu el la rojoj defluantaj la okcidentajn deklivojn de monto Pointe de Sambuy (iuj al 2000 m de alteco), sur la komunumoj Jarsy, Clery kaj Verrens-Arvey. Ĝi poste fluas nord-okcidenten orte al la direkto de la montaj krestoj de tiu-ĉi masivo.
Ĝi trafluas École, La Compôte, Le Châtelard, La Motte-en-Bauges, Lescheraines, Arith, Bellecombe-en-Bauges.

La trafluo de Chéran regule varias inter 12,5 m³/s (en aprilo) kaj 3,59 m³/s en aŭgusto. Dum sekeco, ĝi magriĝas ĝis 0,56 m³/s, sed en kazo de ŝvela akvo, ĝi preterpasas 200 m³/s: oni mezuris trafluon de 250 m³/s la 1-an de oktobro 1960 en Allèves.
Rivero Cheran estas konata enhavi buletojn da oro. Oni tion trovas ĉefe apud Alby sur Céran kaj Cussy. Legendo asertas, ke tiu oro devenus el la trezoro de la Templanoj.
