Cherating estas strandurbeto en Pahango, Malajzio, proksimume je 47 km norde de Kuantan. Ĝi estas la loko de la unua Club Mediterranée de Azio ("klubo Med").

Cherating ankaŭ estas kultura vilaĝo kaj rifuĝejo por testudoj. La testudoj demetas siajn ovojn inter julio kaj aŭgusto.
