La bemboj estas unu el la plej grandaj kaj la plej dominanta etno en Zambio en ties nord-, orient- kaj nordokcidentprovinco. La bemboj vidas siajn originojn en la historiaj regnoj de la luboj kaj la lundoj en la supera Kongobaseno, la hodiaŭa Katango. La historio de la bemboj estas historia unikaĵo en la evoluo de la tribestra regado en la vasta kaj kulture homogena regiono de Centra Afriko.
