Avataro (interreto)
Avataro en komputila senco estas artefarita personaĵo aŭ rolaĵo de vera persono en virtuala realeco, ekzemple en videoludo.
La vorto devenas el la sanskrita lingvo. Avataro - अवतार, avatāra - tie signifas "malsupreniĝo", vorto per kiu hinduismo signas la sinsekvajn enkorpiĝojn de la dio Viŝnuo venanta por helpi al la homaro.
