Apomyrma

Apomyrma stygia estas specio de formikoj kiuj troviĝas en Okcidenta Afriko, unuafoje priskribita en 1970.[1] Ĝi estas la nura specio en la genro Apomyrma, tribo Apomyrmini, kaj subfamilio Apomirmenoj, Apomyrminae.[2] Ĵuse priskribita specio, nome Opamyrma hungvuong, estas ŝajne rilata al Apomyrma.[3] Oni sugestis, ke tiuj formikoj unuarange vivas en tropikaj arbaroj, kaj ŝajne apartenas al grupo de formikoj kiuj manĝas centpiedulojn.[1]
