Aleksandro S. / Aleksandr / Aleksander / Alexander Melnikov, ruse Александр Сергеевич Мельников (naskiĝis en 1951) estas rusia kaj sovetia diplomito pri kemio kaj angla lingvo, emerita docento, poste profesoro pri la angla lingvo kaj la estro de fremdlingva katedro.
Melnikov esperantistiĝis en 1965. Li estas duoble doktoro pri lingvoscienco, defendinta la disertaciojn (doktoran kaj habilitacian) pri interlingvistikaj temoj.
En diversaj tempoj prezidanto de SEJM, estrarano de ASE, vic-prezidanto de SEU, ĉefdelegito de UEA, membro de Akademio de Esperanto (2013-2022). Instruis Esperanton en pluraj landoj. Li estas aŭtoro de ruslingvaj kaj esperantlingvaj libroj kaj artikoloj pri interlingvistiko kaj Esperanto-informado.
