WikiPandas are two related forms of WikiFauna. "WikiPanda" usually refers to the Giant WikiPanda, a large mammal noted for its almost singular diet.[1] There is also the Red WikiPanda, a subspecies of the WikiPanda, which has some notable differences.

Giant WikiPanda

WikiPandas are usually docile in the wild, marking their territory by creating a single article,[2] but they grow depressed and inactive in the captivity of talk pages,[3] only munching slightly on messages that relate to their diet.

Many users seek to encourage WikiPandas to be more successful, such as nurturing their native habitats.[4][5] Still, some users (possibly overlapping with the previous category) believe that while animal cruelty and driving species to extinction is wrong, nature only recognizes the survival of the fittest.[6][7] Indeed, the WikiPanda's singular diet,[1] refusal to fulfill basic urges for companionship,[3] and the occasional rumors of eating of their own young[citation needed] appear to leave them doomed to permanent inactivity.[original research?]

Red WikiPanda

The distantly related Red WikiPanda, however, appears to enjoy the captivity of talk pages[8] and, although still specialized in a particular topic, their diet might also include flowers, fruits, or eggs. Some have even been seen munching on small birds.[9]

The Red Wikipanda's adaptability has led to suggestions that they might be domesticated.[10] Still, despite being more adaptable than the Giant WikiPanda, Red WikiPandas still do not handle high temperatures very well and need to be kept in a cool environment to remain healthy.[9][10]
