Exeter Wikimedia Meetup Number 4
Date and Time: Saturday, 28 June 2025 – 14:00 onwards
Location: Exeter Phoenix Café Bar, Gandy St, Exeter EX4 3LS, United Kingdom
-
Join us at the Exeter Phoenix for the fourth Exeter meetup!
A casual social get together for Wikimedia enthusiasts, where we will...
- Have a bite or a drink at the Exeter Phoenix Café Bar – alcohol consumption is completely optional.
- Chat about Wikipedia and any other topics we fancy.
You can expect to meet some keen Wikipedians, but the gathering is open to anyone interested in finding out more about Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects. Everyone is welcome, even if you are completely new to the projects and want to learn more.
Please also invite any Wikimedia people you know from Exeter and surroundings – spread the word!

- Will need to consult train times from London, but in principle, sure. I'm heading out at 7am the next day on a Eurostar to Lille Europe, so it'll be a lot of rail miles for me this weekend. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:03, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Train tickets purchased, see you there. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:52, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

- @Sgubaldo: you're up for co-organising the next one? I could do September 13, or September 30. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 19:46, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Femke, sure. September 30 is a Tuesday, do you mean the 20th or the 27th? In that case, I'd prefer the 13th or the 27th. Sgubaldo (talk) 03:04, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Ah sorry, I meant the 27th! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 07:34, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Location
The Exeter Phoenix is a multi-use arts venue in Exeter.
Address: Gandy Street, Exeter, EX4 3LS (OpenStreetMap)(Google Maps)
We're sat inside to hide from the sun. When you come in, we're sat in a corner behind the bar. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 13:32, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
Getting there
The Exeter Phoenix venue is very close to the city centre. It is within walking distance of both Exeter Central railway station (200m) and the principal Exeter St Davids railway station (1.1km). The walk from St Davids is clearly signposted "To City Centre" from the station forecourt.
It is also very close to two bus stops (Central Station and Queen Street) for Exeter residents.
