Viarmes (French pronunciation: [vjaʁm] ⓘ) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. Viarmes station has rail connections to Luzarches, Sarcelles and Paris.
During the Middle Ages, Viarmes was a lordship (seigneur de Viarmes) held by Pierre the Fat and Pierre the Younger, both chamberlains of King Philip IV of France.
Viarmes is currently twinned with Tubbercurry in County Sligo, Ireland.[5] Viarmes is also twinned with Morcote, an Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.[6]
