How Can I Create a Userbox like this One?
I saw the Userbox mentioned by you,
| This user is interested in Exoplanetology. |
, and I wanted to know how I can create one with the same image, but which reads: "This user is interested in Intelligent Design"???--Davidbena (talk) 02:42, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- What is the code that you are using to make the code, Its been awhile since I made that, but it might be best to create your own user box in your user pages User:Davidbena/Userboxes/ExtraSolarPlanet and copy paste the code from User:Tedjam/Userboxes/ExtraSolarPlanet-1 and change the links to your image and your page link. Hope this helped in some way! tedjam (talk)

Is there any way that I can shorten this?Davidbena (talk) 22:15, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- If you modify the |100x60px]] section of the id = [[picture| section then that will change the size of the picture, not sure about the actual box size though! tedjam (talk) 07:37, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, my intent was to making a shorter template, as is used in most inboxes. The current layout seems to be long and cumbersome. For example, is there any way to use a shorter {{xxxxx}} reading?Davidbena (talk) 14:44, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- All you need to do for that (if I understand you correctly), is to place the link to your user page inside double curly brackets: {{User:Davidbena/Userboxes/ExtraSolarPlanet}}. If it is the text of the link that you want to change, All you need to do is change the path to the box, you could use User:Davidbena/UB/ExtraSP for example - whatever makes sense to you! tedjam (talk) 21:21, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. That answered my question, and it has just now been done.Davidbena (talk) 18:35, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
