An article you recently created, San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi! I moved your clearly incomplete article to a draft so you can work on it in peace. You are new enough you should probably still use WP:AFC, but if in the future you wish to start a work in progress, just type "Draft:", followed by your desired title into the search box and hit search. The red link for your draft will appear at the top of search results. Click on it and go to work! When you're satisfied that this draft is ready, just click the button and submit it for review. If you want to let me know when you do, just leave a note with a wikilink to the draft on my talk and I'll take a look. John from Idegon (talk) 17:31, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by John from Idegon were:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This reads like a press release. It needs to be rewritten completely removing all marketing-speak, and directly paraphrasing your sources. Laudatory comments, which this is rife with, need to be either attributed quotes from the source, or gone. You absolutely cannot say this event is wonderful in Wikipedia's voice, and that is exactly what you've done. Please study WP:NPOV and WP:PROMO prior to your rewrite, and seek help at Teahouse as needed. On the plus side, it is clearly notable, so if you write an encyclopedia article instead of a press release, you are in like Flynn.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
