Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page David Cronenberg has been reverted.
Your edit here to David Cronenberg was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.dazeddigital.com/film-tv/article/68150/1/david-cronenberg-the-shrouds-ai-grief-vincent-cassell-film-interview) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Shifty (TV series). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Abbas Zahedi (October 1)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bakhtar40 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Linder Sterling, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings.
Your edit here to Linder Sterling was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.dazeddigital.com/art-photography/article/66093/1/linder-sterling-danger-came-smiling-hayward-gallery-exhibition-southbank-london) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an image file on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable image.
British and American English varieties

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Lesbian erasure, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Mathglot (talk) 06:01, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this, that's really helpful, as it was something I wasn't 100% sure about with international topics. I will do this in future. DinosaurLibrary (talk) 20:47, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yvw. There are a ton of little rules like this and it's pretty impossible to be aware of them all, until someone reverts an edit or messages you about something. There are even rules about what hyphen or dash to use, or using "1 to 10" vs. "one to ten". At some point when you're bored or haven't decided what to do, spend a little time browsing the Wikipedia:Manual of style. Most of it is based on a certain underlying logic, and is not arbitrary; usually once I've read the logic behind some obscure rule, it kind of makes sense to me and I remember it, or at least, I remember where to go to look it up the next time. Happy editing, and feel free to reach out with questions any time. Mathglot (talk) 21:05, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Matriarch Productions (April 7)

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Devonian Wombat, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for organizations and companies. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, excluding routine coverage like product launches, staff appointments, or financial reports and listings in databases or listicles;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Only the Variety source provides independent SIGCOV of Matriarch Productions, the Royal Television Society piece is just reprinting a press release and all other sources are about Graham and/or Walters individually, not the company.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Matriarch Productions to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Mmemaigret, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the person meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for people. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the person in detail, not brief mentions or interviews lacking independent analysis;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the person, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
1. To be accepted, a draft needs to show the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article by using multiple sources that meet four criteria; sources should be (i) reliable (ii) secondary (iii) independent of the subject (iv) talk about the subject in some depth, refer WP:42. However, I only see 1 piece of significant coverage in the Guardian article.

2. This article could also use some copyediting eg The "work" section for example could be reduced to 1 short paragraph. It's not encyclopedic and tells us what the subject has said about himself rather than what others have said about him.

3. Every statement in a biography needs a citation. While there are sentences that have no citations, the article currently has 57, which is a tad excessive for its length, and there are 6 citations alone (for example) to say he was in a marathon. Suggest refer also WP:REFBOMB.
