Your user page, User:CSUDARE/sandbox, has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be advertising which only promoted or publicized someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. 331dot (talk) 17:34, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I am a student in the DARE department. I decided to make this page for my department because there is a page for the university as a whole and for the overarching department but not for us. I made this page on my own and chose the username because I don't plan to make any other wiki pages. Everything written in the page is from reputable sources and all the information can be found online. I didn't think there would be an issue with my username or what I wrote as it is in a similar style to the CSU wiki page. If there is a better way for my to post or a different place please let me know. It is not my intention to advertise or promote the department. I was just trying to post about what my department is, similar to what CSU already has. [[User:CSUDARE|CSUDARE]] ([[User talk:CSUDARE#top|talk]]) 17:43, 26 May 2026 (UTC) |3 = ~~~~}}
If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
{{unblock reviewed |1=I am a student in the DARE department. If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

Your username needs to represent you as an individual, not your department. Your real name is not required, just something unique to you.
We don't have "wiki pages for" topics, for their benefit, we have articles about topics, typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the topic. Wikipedia is not a place to just tell about an organization and its routine activities/offerings. Wikipedia has a very broad definition of promotion, broader than in common use. Just telling about something is considered promotional here. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. "Significant coverage" is critical analysis and commentary as to what is viewed by others as important/significant/influential about the organization, not what it views as its own importance. Most organizations on Earth do not meet the criteria to merit an article; in this case, you're writing about a subset of a larger organization. It would probably be best to expand that article and then argue a new article should be split off(that's just my opinion).
Writing a new article is the most difficult task to perform on Wikipedia, and it's even harder with a conflict of interest; please review that link. Writing a new article is not recommended as the first task to perform for a new user. Just as you wouldn't go and build a house without learning how to acquire land, permits, and learning construction techniques, you shouldn't write a new article until you learn more about Wikipedia, through editing existing articles in areas that interest you. Someone else will review your request, but if you have no other interest in editing besides editing about your organization, you probably won't be unblocked; but I'm happy to let the reviewing admin decide. 331dot (talk) 19:42, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
- Most university faculties/schools/departments are not by default notable enough to merit a standalone article. DARE would need to have substantial independent coverage, a long history of significant impact, highly distinctive programs, or a role that is itself widely discussed by sources not affiliated with its parent institution. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:27, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
