I was born and grew up in Japan, and have spent many years in the UK where I still live. I have a PhD in polymer science and technology from a UK University, so I am fairly informed about engineering of polymer-based materials. Just as a side dish, I am qualified as a wireless engineer in Japan, too. To top it up with a wee bit more truthful bullshit, I can say I'm a full-blood samurai. But, our family mansion was demolished by the Meiji government which was basically a bunch of potato-eating, sword-wielding, unsophisticated Neanderthals from Satsuma, and our centuries-old sword was nicked by some Yanks in 1945, so there's really nothing left and I'm basically a skint nobody living abroad. I've also lived in Poland for a while and can speak Japanese, English, some Russian and basic Polish (to talk to girls) --YKatakura (talk) 23:01, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Since the above was written, I've found a research job in Wales, married a young Polish woman next door in Manchester, bought a house in Liverpool and made two sons. YKatakura (talk) 21:19, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
