A Whoopknacker is member of the musical group "The Whoopknackers". Founding member William Courtney created the group in 1992 as "Ramblin' Bill & the Whoopknackers". From 1992 to 2005 the Whoopknackers was a one-man-band with the man being Ramblin' Bill. As the bands music is created using the multi-track recording process, the Whoopknackers were actually virtual members. The music of the group is relatively simple compositions mostly with an original, comical style. Songs include 'National Politeness Week', 'Renegade Nuns on Wheels', She's a Winker' & 'You Can't Fight City Hall'. There are about 15 songs written and recorded in rough form and there are plans to refine these and release them on the internet. Ramblin' Bill is giving music lessons to his young children and plans to bring them into the group as non-virtual members.
