Ashley A. Woods is an American Comic book artist she has been working on comics for eleven years independently. Her first commercial success came in 2015. She was the illustrator for Niobe Series. There are currently three issues that have been published .[1]

Early life

Woods was born and raised in Chicago. She attended International Academy of Design and Technology receiving her degree in Video and Animation. Woods also published her first comic, Millennia War while attending college.

Her mother impacted her love for comics when she gave Woods Marvel Comics. When Woods turned fifteen, she chose to have a career in comics and animation.

Career

Woods first published work was "Millennia War", which was self-published. She has also worked on Ladycastle, which was published through BOOM! Studios and Tomb Raider: Survivor's Crusade, which was published through Dark Horse Comics

In January of 2015, Woods met Sebastian A. Jones and Amandla Stenberg at the Black Comic Arts Festival in San Francisco. Six months later Woods received her first gig working on "Niobe: She is Life"
