Bombay Sweets (Bangladesh) Bombay Sweets is the original manufacturer and food processing company from Bangladesh. It is most noted for its "Ring Chips" and "Chanachur". It also produces beverages, frozen foods and spices.

History

The Founder of Bombay Sweets had a sweet tooth and created the company out of his desire to make quality sweets. It all began with a small cottage factory with a retail-front in Nawabpur, Old Dhaka in 1948. Along side sweets(misti), local ethnic snacks called chanachur was also a flagship product since inception.

Development

People loved Bombay Sweets products and the business thrived. Gradually new outlets were opened in Baitul Mukarram (Motijheel) and New Market (Nilkhet) in subsequent years. After the 1971 "War of Independence", Bombay Sweets really expanded its product line and started producing biscuits, dry cake, toast and even beverages such as orange,lemon and pineaaple squash.

Eventually in 1980's, the company moved its production into a full-fledged factory and launched the famous "Ring Chips" which was the first packaged chips in Bangladesh.

The company manufactures various types of flexible packaging materials for local and foreign markets. Kuliarchar Dairy Complex Making quality cheese since 1983. Kuliarchar Dairy Complex (KDC) is situated at Kuliarchar P.S., in Kishoreganj district. This area is considered as one of the milk pockets in the locality.
