Tylrbob or Tyler Louis McAnally was born in Dallas, Texas to a Methodist family and grew up in North Dallas, where he attended Lake Highlands High School (Dallas,Tx)|Lake Highlands: His mother, Brenda, is a business owner and former flight attendant, and his father, Louis McAnally, is a telecommunications CPT. Tyler attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, majoring in social work and playing on the men's baseball team. After graduating from North Texas in 2007, Tyler held several jobs, including: 1st grade teacher, recreational director for a children's home, school social worker at a middle school in Rhome, Tx.

Tyler married Stephanie McAnally, his girlfriend of 6 years, in 2009. The couple met at west hall. On September 26, 2009, Tyler and his wife are expecting a baby girl, name Skye Ansley. They also have 2 cats named Chablis and Truman Rag Doll.
