Twmoss77 is a physicist who graduated from Columbia University in 1978.

He served as a post-doc at Columbia 78-80 and Assistant Professor from 80-81

During the years 81-87, he was an Assistant and then Associate Professor at Harvard University.

From 87-2002, he was a full and ultimately Distinguished Professor at the University of Oregon

Twmoss77's specializations included Quantum Optics, Cavity QED, Atomic Physics, Optical Radiation Processes and Lasing, as well as Driven Atom Spectroscopy.

In 2000, Twmoss77's interests turned to industry when he founded a company manufacturing components for the Fiber Optics Industry. This company was sold to a large International Company in 2014.

Twmoss77 has published approximately 150 articles in refereed technical journals and has been issued approximately 85 US Patents.

Twmoss77 has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Optical Society of America.
