Hello -- My name's Tom Nordlie, I'm a full-time public relations writer employed by the University of Florida's agriculture program.

(My apologies if you thought I was the famous Norwegian soccer coach -- same name, different guy.)

I just registered for a Wikipedia account in May 2017, in connection with a work assignment that calls for me to expand the English-language page on Dr. Ilaria Capua, a virologist who previously worked in Italy and has been a UF faculty member since early 2016.

As I understand it, I am considered to have a conflict of interest by Wikipedia standards, and so I'll do my best to be transparent about my employment situation and conduct myself appropriately.
