Danilo Omar Sotelo Salas (born August 27) known by his stage name Dany Moda, is a Peruvian singer-songwriter and actor. Dany Moda was born in Huacho, Peru and was raised in Huari with his grandmother then he moved to Lima when he finished his high school.

Danilo Omar Sotelo Salas is the only son of Federico Sotelo and Maria Salas. From an early age, he showed interest in the music so while he was in Huari he was part of a choir church, he become an active member of it and at the same time he was working in a different radios as a deejay. However, after few years, he left Huari and went to Lima to dedicate himself to singing.

Danilo’s father died when he was 3 years of age and his mother abandoned him when he was 1 year of age since then his grandmother looked after him and took care of him as hers own son.

When Danilo finished his high school, he moved to Lima to his family’s house and started his singing career. In the earliest months of 2010 he started working on his first Mix Tape called “The Passion”, it has included eleven Spanish songs and all of them were written by him.

In the earliest of 2011 he moved to Australia. In that year he could not do much because he was studying English in a private language school, he said: “I think it was a big step for me to came to this country and a good decision I have taken, even though it was not easy when I arrived to Australia, everybody speaks English and everything is written in English and I Could not speak or write anything in English at all so I was like a newly born baby”. While he was studying English, he was writing his new lyrics and thinking about his second CD.

Danilo came up with a new song and new album in 2011, he named his Album “Memories” he said: I chose “Memories” because since I left my country I have lots of memories of my family, friends, my country, and my new life in Australia, I think everything we do, it always reminds us something, we all have memories in our life”. He is still working in his album and it probably comes out by December of this year, this album will have Spanish songs and English songs, so while he is working in his album we listed few songs of his new coming up album.
