"Consortium is a word that comes from the Latin consortium meaning association or society, from the word consors meaning owner of means or comrade.

The word refers to a temporary collaboration to perform a certain task or to provide a specific service or product more efficiently. A consortium is an association of two or more individuals, companies, universities, or governments (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal." Hello, fellow editors. Good to see you all happily editing and creating here in the Wiki. Have a fine day.

I am currently working on a large project for baseball free agency, and the history of it, which will hopefully be published before March 17th (NOTE: Haha! The 17th! Good one, self!). It will consist of editing exsisting articles, and adding others. If you'd like to help, just add a comment on the talk page. Otherwise, I'll be mostly Copy-editing and Wikifying. Now that Wiki's hit a million, quality over quantity is becoming the name of the game.
