Link titleThomas Anthony Gerace (born August 2, 1958 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA) is the Director of Technology and Library at the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Gerace received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Tulane University.

Gerace has been elected to Senior Member status in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He has authored numerous articles for publication and presented the same at conferences for various professional organizations. A recent article entitled “The Critical Elements of the Patch Management Process” appeared in the August, 2009 issue of the Communications of the ACM magazine. The paper describes not only the importance of enterprise operating system patch management but also specific elements, such as top level management support, that are essential for the success of the process.

Gerace is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and the Society of American Magicians (SAM). He was awarded the Order of Merlin Shield in 2009 recognizing his 35 continuous years of membership in the IBM. He is a Past President of both Ring 178 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Ring 27 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
