Trivia About Me

I was born on 29 September 1962 in Darlinghurst an inner city suburb of Sydney, Australia. I grew up predominently in the very middle class St George District in the southern suburbs of Sydney, NSW. I was educated initially at St Declan's Primary School at Penshurst, then at Marist College Penshurst and Marist College Kogarah in Sydney, New South Wales and then later at Tuart College in Perth, Western Australia. I'm the middle child of five children to Anthony Stephen New and Eileen Elizabeth New (nee Robinson), and the only one to join the permanent armed services of Australia in the Royal Australian Air Force, all the way back in 1985. My father Tony had previously served under National Service in the Navy, as had my two younger brothers (Andrew and Anthony) who served in the Australian Army Reserve. I later studied Logistics and Operations Management at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, eventually graduating with a Bachelor of Business in 1998. My wife Linda and I have been married since December 1990 and together have three wonderful children: Alexandria and twins Lachlan and Ashleigh.
