'''Star Davies: ''Axiom Cycle'''''Star Davies

Star Davies

(born 1980,Jacksonville, FL) is an American writer.

Star Davies started writing when she was just a young lass, more intent in her fancies than her studies. It was not until her godsons were born in 2003 that the fancies turned to fantasy. Their birth inspired her to create the world in which the Axiom Cycle has once again begun to turn.

Star has been an avid reader since she first learned how. As a student her teachers encouraged her creativity and helped her understanding of grammar and punctuation grow. Though she has been writing nearly as long as she has been reading, it was not until her godsons were born and her husband sparked her interest in the fantasy world that her ideas took flight.

Currently she lives in southern Wisconsin with her husband. She spends every other weekend with her step son Brynden, and takes him to karate during the week. During the week Star also works full-time at a travel/insurance agency helping people discover their own adventures. Most weekends she and Tazz are wedding photographers for their studio, Legend Images.

With what little spare time remains after work, photography, karate, and writing Star loves to watch movies (just don't ask her about Eragon) or read a good book.

Star's first and only published work came to the market only recently, when she self-published a novella related to the Axiom Cycle. Though the prequel book is still searching for the right publisher, Star is confident that her day will come.

As a Wisconsin resident, she is also a member of the Wisconsin Regional Writer's Association. In the spring of 2007 her short story A Box of Wine was published in the spring newsletter.

As an author of fantasy fiction, Star has come to admire and respect writer Robert Jordan (who tragecly has passed away), as well as Dean Koontz, Margaret Wiess, Tracey Hickman, JK Rowling, and Christopher Palioni.
