Volunteering for ACC
Hi Stwalkerster! I was recently talking to User:Chzz about wanting to help out at ACC. He suggested that you might be willing to tutor me at ACC until I get the hang of it. So … would you mind showing me the ropes at ACC? Thanks! — SpikeToronto 17:57, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi! I'm maybe not the best person for the mentoring, given the amount of IRL work I've got going on at the moment, but I can try. If you want to get involved, you need to create an account at tools:~acc/acc.php, and have a good read of the ACC Guide. It's probably a good idea to hang around on IRC too - we have our own IRC channel at #wikipedia-en-accounts on Freenode - irc://chat.freenode.net/#wikipedia-en-accounts webchat - you can ask any questions, or ask for guidance through a request there. I'd like to think that everything is in the guide, but unfortunately that's far from the truth, but a lot of the important stuff is in there - the most important thing is probably to ask if you aren't sure about anything, or want a second opinion or something.
