Aradhna Dayal is a family office investor, entrepreneur and women empowerment advocate based in Hong Kong. She is best known as the founder and CEO of Access Alts Asia, a Hong Kong-based platform that bring together some of the world’s largest family offices and institutions to invest in Asia and build cross-border businesses.[1] She is the winner of the Shroff Women of Inspiration Award For Leadership in 2018.

Early Life and Business Career

Born in India, Aradhna read Global Strategic Management at Harvard Business School and moved to Hong Kong to set up her family office 25 years ago.[2] As a veteran Asia investor,[3] Aradhna set up Access Alts Asia to connect ideas, technology and capital available in the West to accelerate Asian growth. Over 350 global thought leaders, strategic investors and business families are now a part of the Access Alts platform.[4] Access Alts hosts its Annual Member Meets in New York, Dubai, London, Washington, D.C., Shanghai, and Hong Kong. The club has invested in landmark deals such as the 2020 SpaceX round.

Investing Career

Aradhna was one of the first family office CIOs in Asia, having managed her family office since the late 1990s.[5][6] In 2012, she pioneered the China-Global Alternative Investments Summit at the invitation of the Mayor of Shanghai. An active investor in Hong Kong, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Aradhna pioneered the conversion of industrial buildings into affordable offices for small entrepreneurs. In 2019, she was invited by Warren Buffet’s office to represent Hong Kong at the Berkshire Hathaway 2019 Annual General Meeting. In 2012, Aradhna spoke at the SkyBridge SALT Conference.[7]

Aradhna is an avid technology and impact investor.[8]

Advocacy

Aradhna advocates for women in decision-making and boardroom roles. She mentors female entrepreneurs and showcases them at Access Alts.[9] Aradhna was invited to lead a panel on breaking stereotypes and empowering success at the Kalaari Capital Summit 2019.[10]

Philanthropy

Aradhna along with her children has established Move4Migrants and Modern Migrants, two aid organizations to empower marginalized minority and migrant communities. Move4Migrants provides targeted aid in the areas of education, athletics, healthcare and career development. ModernMigrants digitally upskills minority and migrant professionals for the post-Covid world. In 2017, Move4Migrants was invited by the Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission to give recommendations on minority inclusion and was lauded by diplomats of Canada, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom.[11][12][13][14]

Aradhna is passionate about education and healthcare. She has served on the committees of Teach For China, Karen Leung Foundation and Youth Diabetic Action. In 2020, Aradhna was invited by The Milken Institute to talk about Asia and Women Leadership at the Milken MENA Summit in Abu Dhabi.
