Sir Mecer (Emmanuel Kudakwashe Mecer) is a Zimbabwean citizen who was born on Wednesday, March 20, 1996 in Tagwireyi village of Chirumhanzu District, Midlands Province. He is the son of Priscilla Mugwese and Cletto Mhesa, who divorced in 2002 and separated from him. He moved to Harare soon after his birth, but returned to Chirumhanzu in 2001 to live with his maternal grandparents. He attended Mutya Primary School in 2002, where he repeated Grade 1 in 2003 due to his immaturity and poor writing skills. However, he overcame this challenge and became the best student in his class, maintaining his academic excellence until he completed Grade 7 in 2009.

He then proceeded to Siyahokwe Government High School, where he started Form 1 in 2010. His mother, who had moved to South Africa in search of a better life in 2008, passed away in 2011 due to colon cancer. He was devastated by this loss, but he did not give up on his education. He wrote 3 ordinary level subjects in 2013 and passed them, and then wrote 4 more in 2014. He had a dream of joining the security forces, but he faced several rejections. In 2015, he and his childhood best friend Tafadzwa Kasara applied to join the Zimbabwe Republic Police at Charandura station, but they failed after refusing to pay a bribe to the public relations officer. In 2016, he was turned down by the Zimbabwe National Army after failing the endurance test, and by the Airforce of Zimbabwe due to having a flat foot.

He decided to move back to Harare in 2017, where he worked as a carpenter. He also became involved in politics, and served as a polling agent for the MDC Alliance during the 2018 general harmonised elections. In 2019, he got a job as a bus conductor at ZUPCO, but he left it in August of the same year. He then worked as an injection moulding machine operator at Joy Reep until the end of 2019. He was unemployed for most of 2020 and 2021, until he joined NEMCHEM as a cleaner in September 2021. He also enrolled for a Diploma in Human Resources Management with Royal Institute for Management and Engineering in February 2023, hoping to advance his career. In September 2023, he was transferred to the High Court of Zimbabwe as a cleaner, where he is currently working.

Sir Mecer Emmanuel Kudakwashe is a man of resilience, determination, and courage. He has faced many hardships and challenges in his life, but he has never given up on his dreams and aspirations. He is an inspiration to many young Zimbabweans who are struggling to make a living and achieve their goals. He is proud of his humble origins and his achievements, and he hopes to make a positive impact on his society and his country.

He is also known as Sekuru Mesa by his family, as he is the oldest grandchild(mwana wemwanakomana). He earned the title of Sir Mecer when he displayed teaching ambitions as a child, and he would imitate what the teacher does in the bushes and trees whenever he was alone. He also gained the respect of his workmates as a labour activist, and he would take his time teaching them about their rights.
