Hi there! I'm Jesse, a fiction writer and professional writing student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I am pursuing a BA in English with a concentration in Professional Writing. My academic interests include technical writing, instructional design, and digital media. I have experience in multimodal writing, web design, and content management systems.
Academic and Professional Background
I am set to graduate in Spring 2025 with an anticipated GPA of approximately 2.8 to 2.9. My coursework has provided me with a strong foundation in professional and technical writing, document design, and usability research. I am particularly interested in the intersection of writing and emerging technologies.
My professional background includes experience as a writing tutor, where I assist students with academic and professional writing projects. I have also worked in skilled labor positions before transitioning into technical writing as a career path with support from my vocational rehabilitation counselor.
