I am Shortsword, from the San Joaquin Valley of California in the USA.
I am a retired Senior Software Engineer with 36 years of professional experience in several areas of business related computer software design, coding, testing, and support.
My main hobby is geocaching, using the multi-million dollar network of GPS satellites to find hidden containers of all sorts in the woods and/or urban jungles of the world.
My philosophy is scientifically based and I frequently ask correspondents to "show me the evidence". Sometimes followed by the statement that "neither anecdotes or myths constitute evidence".
I am a member of the Guerilla Skeptics on Wikipedia and the Skepticism Wikepedia Project.
