About Me

I'm a retired Software Developer from Ottawa, Canada. I graduated in 1978 from the University of Waterloo, which gave me a useful education to support a career at Cognos developing Business Intelligence software.

As well as Computers, I am interested in Music particularly Folk Music. I was a regular attendee at the Ottawa Folk Festival (until they broke it). I'm also a fan of Northern Lights Festival Boréal in Sudbury.

I'm also keenly interested in Political Economy, and a follower of the theories of a fellow Canadian, Economist John Kenneth Galbraith, whose many works were based on ideas that economic policies properly executed could benefit all of society, in contrast to Neoliberalism which make the fallicious argument that aiming for minimal government involvement and maximum corporate flexibility will in the end yield the best possible outcome for everyone.
