Background

Jewish Rock Radio (JRR) is a program of Judaism Alive 501c3 launched in 2009 by Rick Recht with a grassroots cadre of Jewish lay leaders from St. Louis, Memphis, Atlanta, and Chicago. JRR launched on November 1, 2010. In first year operations, JRR experienced successes in broadcast programming, listenership, press coverage, and funding with more than 17,000 JRR mobile app downloads, over 400,000 monthly listening minutes, and coverage in local and national publications (including Ny Jewish Week [1] St. Louis Jewish Light [2], The Huffington Post [3], inclusion in the 2011 Slingshot Guide and funding from many national Jewish foundations.
