MS Global Contest

MS Global Contest (also known as Miss Sudamérica Internacional) is an annual international beauty pageant organized by the Miss Sudamérica organization, based in Peru. Founded in 2015 by Peruvian entrepreneur Santiago Delgadillo, the pageant promotes diversity and "beauty with purpose," selecting contestants based on personal achievements, values, and social commitment rather than traditional beauty standards. It features three main categories: Miss, Miss Teen, and Lady, and includes participants from Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

History

Miss Sudamérica was relaunched in the mid-2010s. In 2016, Peruvian state news agency Andina reported that Peru would host the Miss Sudamérica pageant for the first time in decades, bringing together 17 countries from across the Americas. The first international edition took place in 2017 in Lima, with Argentina’s Alina Akselrad winning the title.

Subsequent editions expanded the pageant's international reach, especially after its rebranding as MS Global Contest in 2022. The organization emphasizes empowerment, cultural exchange, and the eradication of harmful beauty stereotypes.
