The micro-nation of The Republic of Western Antarctica (R.W.A.). Throughout all of time the south western portion of Antarctica had been unclaimed. On Thursday April 26th 1018 Sam Duffett claimed the land. He was then voted president receiving 100% of the votes. Sam called this ¨The start of something really special¨ and has begun a plan on taking immigrants in order to raise the population. It is important to note that all though the R.W.A. has the status of a ¨micro-nation¨ it is actually very large, 620,000 square miles in total. The official language of the R.W.A. is English and will soon be holding a vote on weather to use the metric system or a more ¨U.S. type of system of measure.¨
