Manish Arora, born in the City of Light - Varanasi's center place 'ASSI' in Uttar Pradesh, INDIA in 1973. He grown up as a regular Banarasi style of childhood period. He studied at more then five different schools of Varanasi for his school education. For higher education he studied in Asia's largest residential university 'Banaras Hindu University' from the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts and completed Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral degree from 1989-2003. After that he worked as a Branch Head at Chandigarh for the Lucknow based INS accredited advertising agency. He worked for multinational companies at Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh from 2003 to 2004. After that he worked as Assistant Professor (Reader) at Government College of Art, Chandigarh, India for Master In Fine Art course from 2004 to 2007.After that he worked as Lecturer in University College at Kurukshetra University, Haryana, India in the year 2007. Finally he got the opportunity as Assistant Professor in same department where he studied in his higher education at Banaras Hindu University, India in the year 2007 and after that he actively engaged in his academic career.

Milestone achievements -

2003-2004 :

During his professional career as Branch Head at Chandigarh, he worked alone for multinational clients for the exclusive Outdoor Advertising Services including Marketing, Art Director for Graphic Creatives, Event Manager and so many other related works for many advertising campaigns. He also handle the other clients services for the dealers and distributors network for retail business.

2007- 2013 :

During the working in BHU he did following major milestone achievments for his academic career.

1. He became the First Visiting Scholar from Banaras Hindu University to get the grant for teaching at Asian Studies Programme and Department of Visual Studies in University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, USA during the year 2010.

2. He is the first Indian Research Scholar from the field of Fine Arts/ Visual Arts, who availing Raman Post Doctoral Fellowship in Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA. This unique fellowship awarded by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Govt. of India for the year 2013-2014.

3. He became the first Honorary Research Associate from the field of Fine Arts/ Visual Arts, who got this award by Bhojpuri Study Centre, Banaras Hindu University from 2011-2013.
