Rick Maderis (born August 17, 1980, in Hollister, California) is an American artist, designer and producer who works in Sportswear as a Footwear Graphic Designer for Brand Jordan. Maderis is also the Founder and Brand Manager of Burnside Knives. His works explore the relationship between sports culture, outdoors, fashion, artistic expression and advertising.

Born and raised in Hollister, California, Maderis initially pursued a successful career in print media which then lead to headwear design at New Era Cap before moving to Portland, Oregon to work in Sportswear for Adidas as a Lead Graphic Designer for Adidas Originals. Discontent with an inability to grow within his role at Adidas, Maderis started making custom knife handles in his garage which lead to parting from Adidas and started production for Burnside Knives. Shortly after the launch of his brand, Maderis was asked to meet with NIKEiD where he accepted a role as a contract designer creating basketball footwear for athletes including Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
