transparent honesty, public accountability (i.e. Wikipedia:Accountability) to the point of whistleblowing, enforcement by punishment, checks and balances
add to existing works instead of creating new ones
have fun; do what one believes in; believe in your product/work
experience teaches; it's about the journey not destination
feel, don't overthink
don't do things for the sake of "the system"; procedure is not the end goal
nearly always prefer open standards (open systems, open source, etc.) and non-proprietary and public domain over their inverses
"Don't Be Evil", regardless of affiliation/bias/systems
