Rev. Ralphi Retro also known by his real name Rafael Nahualakatl Ruiz was born and raised in the Southwest part of the United States and Northern part Mexico. Born of Indigenous heritage Nahua by his Mother's side and Comanchee/Coahitlan on his Father's side. Rev. Ralphi Retro dj career has spanned for 30 years, "I have been into music since I was about 4 years old. I remember my Gandma & Mom would throw parties for family and friends, the next morning I would get up very early and would go turn on the record player very softly and would listen to the 45s and 78s, lol, yes I still remember 45s," Growing up Rev. Ralphi Retro would dj at his own parties "I would cue and spin the vinyl then I would go out to the dance floor and then would run back to the crate and cue and spin the next jam". Rev. Ralphi Retro has also been part of live shows with a variety of music artist. "When I was in L.A. I spun with the Rivera Family(Lupio and Jenni Rivera Family" with Ritmo Tropical, they can really jam some cumbias, also with Banda Perla Pacifica, and Paralelo del Norte, that was an awesome experience". Rev. Ralphi Retro has been featured on "A Wedding Story" on The Learning Channel and "Primer Impacto" on Univision. Rev. Ralphi Retro Resident Dj/Music Producer of the Tribal Crew Djs, Founder of Native Whisper Productions & Mexika Dj Productions. "I want to have a recording studio in my home so I can start producing my own CDs, produce music for up and coming artist. I would love to produce a CD for Toby Mac, Redcloud, Salvador, these are awesome Christian Artist, and everybody that would have me produce some of thier music". What music styles do you spin and mix? "I spin and mix all music syles. I do this cuz one time I was hired to go and Dj a Teen party, so I packed up my Hip Hop, Dance, House, and even Lines Dances that I know kids love to dance to. But, when I got to the party I saw a lot of rockers and bikers. I was caught between a Rock and a Harley, LOL, good thing that the Host of the party had some Rock Cds, she got my butt out of the hole, so I spun that all night, I make it a habit to carry all styles of music now".
