User:RedirectCleanupBot

This was an automated account operated by WJBscribe which had sysop access, allowing it to perform a fairly simple maintenance task - deleting redirects to deleted and non-existent pages per CSD R1. To ensure that it only deleted broken redirects without useful histories, it was limited to deleting pages that had only one revision in their contribution history. This bot was active from October 2007 to December 2008.

The source code can be found here, and the Bot's approval can be reviewed on the following pages:

It was the first and only Bot to be approved by the community through the RfA process. AdminBots are now approved through Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval only.

Archived discussions relating to the Bot can be found here.

AnomieBOT III (talk deletions) now performs this task.
