User:RSR Engineer

Some information about me:

I have always been fascinated by railways, and steam locomotives in particular, for as long as I can remember and dreamed, like so many boys in the 1950s, of becoming an engine driver. Of course, the demise of the steam locomotive during the 1960s (in the UK at any rate) put paid to any such ambitions and I ended up following a career in computing, condemned to remain a mere armchair engineer. The old love of steam trains never left me however and I have continued to study them avidly to this day, so that I feel I can make a useful contribution to Wikipedia articles on steam trains and associated topics if desired. I live in Thannhausen, in Bavarian Swabia.

In parallel, I have always had a model railway since 1953, the first train being a Hornby Dublo "Silver King" and coaches. Changes to 2-rail operation in 1960 and to European modelling in 1965 followed.

I am also the author of the website of the fictitious Ruhnian State Railways [1].

Could someone please advise me on how to add these little tabs about nationality, language, projects etc? Many thanks!
